The nature of the product: Wear resistance. The wear resistance of UHMWPE ranks first among plastics and exceeds that of some metals. The mortar wear index of UHMWPE is only 1/5 of PA66 and 1/10 of HDPE and PVC. Compared with metals, it is 1/7 of carbon steel and 1/27 of brass. The impact strength of UHMWPE is approximately twice that of impact-resistant PC, five times that of ABS, and over ten times that of POM and PBTP.

1. Self-lubricating UHMWPE has an extremely low coefficient of friction (0.05 to 0.11) and excellent self-lubricating properties. Under the condition of no lubricant, it is second only to polytetrachloroethylene (PTFE), which has the best self-lubricating property. When it works in sliding or rotating form, its lubricity is even better than that of steel and brass with lubricating oil added.
2. Chemical resistance: UHMWPE has excellent chemical resistance. Except for strongly fluorinated acid solutions, it can resist corrosive media (acids, alkalis, salts) and organic media (except naphthalene solvents) within a certain temperature and concentration range. 3. Impact energy Absorption UHMWPE has excellent impact energy absorption, with the highest impact energy absorption value among all plastics. Therefore, it has very good noise damping performance and excellent noise reduction effect.
4. The surface adsorption force of non-stick UHMWPE is very weak. Its anti-adhesion ability is second only to PTEE, which has the best non-stick property among plastics. Therefore, the surface of the product is not easy to adhere to other materials.
5. Water absorption: The water absorption rate of UHMWPE is very low, generally less than 0.01%, which is only 1% of that PA6

The uses of the product:
1,UHMWPE can replace carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze and other materials in the textile, papermaking, food machinery, transportation, medical, coal mining, chemical and other sectors. Such as impact-resistant and wear-resistant parts in the textile industry, such as shuttles, shuttling rods, gears, couplings, sweeping rods, buffer blocks, eccentric blocks, rod shaft sleeves, and swing effects. In the papermaking industry, it is used for making box covers, wipers, compaction components, joints, sealing shafts of transmission machinery, deflector wheels, scrapers, filters, etc. Hoppers, silos, chutes and linings of dump trucks used for transporting powdered materials in the transportation industry.

2.UHMWPE can be used to make various mechanical parts, including gears, worm wheels, worm gears and bearings for food machinery. In the chemical industry, it is used for pumps, valves, baffles and filter plates. In medical applications, it can also be used for heart valves, short surgical parts, artificial joints and birth control implants. In sports, we make skating floors, roller tracks, skis and parts for motorized sleds.

3.UHMWPE can be made into high modulus fibers to manufacture bulletproof vests, aircraft seats, ropes for Marine and fishery use, etc. The application scope is similar to that of polyamide and polytetrafluoroethylene, and its wear resistance exceeds that of carbon steel. It is used for gears, bearings, bearing shells, star wheels, valves, pumps, guide rails, sealing packing, equipment linings, sliding plates, artificial joints, etc. The fibers are used for bulletproof vests, ropes, etc. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has many excellent properties. However, such an outstanding engineering plastic is rarely known to exist. This is mainly due to the insufficient research on the melt characteristics of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene in the past, and the processing methods are basically still at the backward press-sintering process. In recent years, with the continuous development of processing technology for ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, its products have been successfully applied in many fields.

4.UHMWPE in the textile industry. It has the longest history of use. The components on the loom need to have impact resistance, anti-cracking property, self-lubricating property and noise reduction property, making textile machinery the earliest application field of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Since the first ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene component was produced in the 1950s, more than 200 types of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene textile components have been successively introduced to the market. The toughness of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is reflected in the knots of high-speed looms. The above is fully demonstrated: The function of the knot is to stop and strike the shuttle, making it move back and forth left and right through the loom. The shuttle is usually a steel product weighing 3 to 5 kilograms. At its maximum speed, the impact frequency can reach 200 times per minute. Before the use of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, only water buffalo knots could withstand such impact forces, which could endure one million impacts. Under the same conditions, the use of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene knots can withstand 5 to 15 million impacts.
