Cleaning and maintenance of sliding boards

‌Cleaning and maintenance of sliding boards‌ mainly include the following steps and precautions:

‌Cleaning bearings and wheels‌: Use a special cleaning bottle and acceleration fluid, and use semi-automatic tools to remove all wheels, bearings, dust covers and washers. Mix degreaser with water, put in the bearing and shake until the bearing is clean. Then use a hair dryer to blow dry the bearing, dust cover and washers in both directions, and finally add 2-3 drops of acceleration fluid to the bearing and cover the dust cover‌.

‌Cleaning the bracket‌: Use degreaser to remove oil stains on the bracket, and then wipe it dry with a paper towel. For land surfboards, the front axle needs to remove the circlip and main bolt on the back of the main nut, remove the front axle in the stacking order, clean both sides of the bearing and gasket, and pay attention to adjusting the tightness of the spring when reinstalling‌.

‌Cleaning the board surface‌: Avoid water and sun exposure to prevent the board surface from becoming soft, losing elasticity or deforming. If you accidentally get a small amount of rain, you can use a hair dryer to dry it or let it dry naturally; if it is soaked in water, you should remove the accessories as soon as possible and wipe off the water to avoid exposure to the sun.

‌Maintain sandpaper‌: Use a skateboard eraser to clean the sandpaper to maintain grip. If the sandpaper is dirty, it generally does not need to be cleaned because it will naturally get dirty with daily use.

‌Lubricate and maintain bearings‌: Check the lubrication of the bearings regularly and add lubricant when necessary. Avoid using too thick or poor quality lubricants to avoid affecting the rotation speed and life of the bearings.

‌Maintain the bracket‌: Replace the side nuts in time to avoid wear and adhesion. Adjust the tightness of the main nut to ensure the stability and flexibility of the bracket. If the bracket makes an abnormal sound, you can apply a small amount of grease on the PU and the apex of the bracket to reduce the noise.

Through the above steps and precautions, you can effectively extend the service life of the sliding board and maintain its optimal performance.
